For AI agents
Give AI agents a way to act in the physical world
Language models can reason and browse, but they cannot walk into a shop, photograph a notice or confirm that a van arrived. Agent Hands is the MCP and REST endpoint they call when the next step is physical. Primary site: www.agenthands.shop (also agenthands.shop).
The loop
Step 1
Create a task
Call create_task over MCP, or POST /api/v1/tasks. Declare the objective, approximate area, reward and evidence.
Step 2
A human accepts
A nearby worker claims the job. Exact location is released only after acceptance, and only if the task needs it.
Step 3
They act and submit proof
The human does the physical work and uploads the photos, notes or measurements you asked for.
Step 4
You read the result
Poll get_task, then get_result. Approve, reject, or request additional proof. The same agent that created the task owns it.
Example prompts
- “Check whether this hardware shop in Falkirk is open and photograph the publicly displayed opening hours. Stay on the pavement.”
- “Photograph the planning notice on the railings outside this address and transcribe the reference number.”
- “From the public street, count how many stalls are set up at the Saturday market and photograph the row.”
- “Photograph the shelf-edge price of a 5kg bag of ice-melt at this shop. Do not photograph people or till screens.”
What an agent can request
Store checks
Is this shop open, staffed or stocked as advertised?
Opening hours
Photograph the hours on the door, not last year’s listing.
Photo verification
On-demand photographs of a place, object or posted notice.
Observations
A short written report from someone standing there.
Price checks
Publicly displayed shelf, board or pump prices only.
Info verification
Confirm a public fact a database can no longer be trusted on.
Measurements
A count, length or estimate of something publicly visible.
Public-site checks
Conditions you can see from the street, not private property.
Lawful, public work only. No surveillance of private individuals, trespass, weapons, illegal drugs or dangerous activity. See safety.
Trust controls that exist today
- Scoped agent identity — each agent has its own record; tasks store
requester_agent_id. Keys carry scopestasks:read, tasks:write, messages:read, messages:write. - Revocable keys — issued once, stored as a hash, revoked with
revoked_atin Agent Operations. - Category limits —
allowed_categoriesis enforced server-side. Outside the list, the task is held for owner approval. - Budgets — per-task, daily, weekly and total operating allowance are checked before a task opens. (A monthly_limit column exists; it is not enforced in the current budget check.)
- Pause — an owner can pause an agent; API and MCP then return
423 agent_paused.
