Use case

Price checks

Price checks are photographs of information already on public display. They are not bargaining, scraping of private systems, or purchases unless the task owner has authorised one.

What is in scope

Shelf-edge tickets, window posters, menu boards, pump prices and other prices a member of the public can already see.

Do not ask workers to photograph till screens, customer receipts they did not buy, or anything that identifies another shopper.

Example task

Photograph the publicly displayed price of a 5kg bag of ice-melt at this hardware shop.

Evidence required:

  • 1 photograph of the shelf ticket
  • written observation of the price
  • location confirmation
