Use case

Document collection

Planning notices, printed menus, posted timetables and counter leaflets are still the only source for a lot of local information.

What can be collected

Publicly displayed notices, freely available printed material, posted timetables and menus, and receipts for authorised purchases.

Anything containing another person's private information is out of scope, and so is anything that requires impersonation or entering private property.

Returning a usable record

Ask for a document photograph plus a written transcription of the key lines. That gives you both the evidence and something machine-readable.

Example task

Photograph the planning notice attached to the railings outside this address and transcribe the reference number.

Evidence required:

  • 1 document photograph
  • written observation
  • location confirmation
